Lissie – Best Days

American singer-songwriter Lissie was born as Elisabeth Corrin Maurus. Fleetwood Mac is one of her main influences (check tracks like Further Away (Romance Police), The Habit and Don’t You Give Up On Me as examples). During her career, she worked with the likes of Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses), Ed Harcourt, Jacquire King, Snow Patrol, Robbie Williams and most recently she featured on a new acoustic version of a-ha’s I’ve Been Losing You. Also, she appeared in David Lynch’s revival of his landmark series ‘Twin Peaks’.

These last two things align in some way with the fact Lissie moved from the city to her own ranch in the American West. The influence of this move can also be heard on her upcoming fourth album, Castles (23 March), which is said to be rather subtle. But still there’s room for gently uplifting songs like Best Days, the new single off it.
